Hello Indie Game Fan Reader!

The Next Fest festival will be in the coming week, but some developers have already released their demos, so get a head start with my top picks.

Many videos planned for next week, hope I can get them done! I'm a bit under the weather, the festive period (Lunar New Year) has thrown my rhythm all out of whack, but I'm on the mend and should be all good.

Upcoming Games of 2026

Voodoo Fishin' - It’s all fun and games until the puppets start screaming.

You and up to 3 friends explore a cozy but creepy haunted swamp in search of rare fish and lost loot. Reel in valuable catches, sell your haul, upgrade your tackle, and venture deeper for bigger rewards.

But the swamp hunts back.

Strange creatures stalk the shoreline and move through the fog. Get dragged under or caught off guard, and everything you caught is gone.

🧵 Play as fully handcrafted puppet anglers

🎣 Discover dozens of rare and legendary fish

🐊 Outrun swamp creatures that actively hunt you

🎙️ Proximity voice chat for peak co-op chaos

The demo is live on Steam now. Cast your line and wishlist Voodoo Fishin’ before the swamp keeps it.

Wolf With Inn - Step into a cozy fantasy tavern simulator where you’re not the typical sword-swinging hero, but a werewolf running your own inn in the mysterious land of Mystmoor. Between exploring the dark forest for ingredients, fulfilling story-driven quests and serving a motley mix of patrons like mushroom folk and mermaids, you’ll balance tavern life with life in the wild in this blend of adventure and management.

  • Play as a werewolf innkeeper, exploring Mystmoor by day and operating your tavern by night
  • Engage with a cast of unique fantasy folk and bridge divides between factions in a world of dark fairy tales
  • Manage rowdy patrons, cook hearty meals and maintain your inn between adventures
  • Complete quests and gather ingredients to expand your menu and unlock new recipes

Best Indie Games Newsletter By Clement • 29 March 2026 Hello Indie Game Fan Reader! It's been a rough week for game developers with hundreds of people losing their jobs, and there are anecdotal reports stating that it's not easy to get a new one, or even to break into the industry, so it's a miracle that we are even getting new games which I'm thankful for. I took a look at upcoming pixel art games which I think look especially good, with more previews upcoming up next week. Oh yeah, and...

Best Indie Games Newsletter By Clement • 22 March 2026 Hello Indie Game Fan Reader! Productive week on the channel for me, so get a look at what's new, what's hot and what's coming up in the world of indie games. It's a crazy time in the world right now, so here's a reminder to stop doomscrolling (I'm not immune but I'm trying) and to focus on the things you can control. Work, exercise, spend time with family and friends, and maybe try out some unplayed games in your backlog or go back to old...

Best Indie Games Newsletter By Clement • 15 March 2026 Hello Indie Game Fan Reader! In more amazing news for indie games, Slay the Spire 2 has sold more than 3 million copies in it's first week, sitting at 50k+ steam reviews and an overwhelmingly positive rating, so here's hoping talented developers might take the indie plunge, given how dire things are in the larger world of video game development. In case you missed it, check out the Steam event page for my Spring Showcase to browse more...
