Hello Indie Game Fan Reader!

Surprisingly, we had 2 Nintendo Directs in consecutive weeks, and where last week's entry was focused on "3rd party developers" (think Square Enix), this was an Indie World Showcase instead.

Murmurs of course about Silksong begun to spread, especially since it's demo was confirmed to be at Gamescom (starting August 20th), so it seemed like the perfect time to announce a release date, but alas, it was not to be.

Still, we has some awesome looking titles including new looks at Neverway, Mina the Hollower and more, nothing too crazy but a solid showcase nonetheless

Best Indie Games Newsletter By Clement • 3 August 2025 Hello Indie Game Fan Reader! As is now tradition, Nintendo announced and dropped a Direct at the last minute, this time focused on 3rd party developers, where we did get a lot of Square Enix representation as well new Monster Hunter, PvZ and more, but generally the vibes that I've seen have not been the most positive. Slow start for the Switch 2 in terms of games I suppose but it has been selling a bunch of units and should be just fine,...

Best Indie Games Newsletter By Clement • 27 July 2025 Hello Indie Game Fan Reader! It's been some month in July, with the great indie games released contrasted with a less than stellar everything else (*gestures wildly) going on in my life, so I do hope you have had a better month than me! No point getting stuck in the past so we move on, and it will already be August this coming week! 5 more months left for 2025 (time flies) but the indie games keep chugging along, where we are entering the...

After the busy summer showcase season and the Steam Sale, we had a full week of releases, so let me know what you have been playing!
