Best Indie Games Newsletter
By Clement • 27 April 2025
Hello Indie Game Fan Reader!
This week saw the shadow drop of the long rumored Oblivion Remaster, which has absolutely taken over the conversation this week (to the detriment of some indie games) and seems like it is doing justice to the game, but unfortunately might explain exactly why we are getting so many remakes and remasters instead of new titles.
Summit: Steps of Solace - Embark on a challenging ascent in this 2D pixel art precision platformer that will test your reflexes and determination!
Armed with dual pickaxes, you'll scale a treacherous mountain, with hazards such as spikes, pits, ice, and wind! Master additional equipment like a grappling hook to navigate over 70 meticulously designed levels, with optional collectibles and a speed run mode which offer extra challenge!
Originally released on the Playdate handheld, this has reviewed well, with special mention going to the emotional side of things, as you uncover the reason as to why your character is determined to make this ascent.
The Steam release includes new content and revamps visuals, so if interested, try the free demo and add it to your wishlist on Steam today.

Best Indie Games Newsletter By Clement • 13 April 2025 Hello Indie Game Fan! Relative to last week's Switch 2 Direct, it was a relatively muted week with nothing too crazy happening, with Blue Prince and Crashlands 2 really standing out for new releases, along with the Triple-i showcase and the regular news. My output has not been there as of late, I too have my struggles with sitting down to get work done, so if you are as well, you're not alone! Maybe next week will be better Best Indie...
Best Indie Games Newsletter By Clement • 06 April 2025 Hello Indie Game Fan! The Switch 2 Direct was the big event of the week and man did they bring out some heavy hitters in indies (more in be video below), including, curiously enough, a 5-second mention in a sizzle reel for Silksong, with apparently the big news being that it has slopes which might have contributed to it's extremely long development cycle. Singapore always gets delayed console launches which is why I tend to be PC only,...
