You know, it's like having a game based on players having to work together on a meta level will have these consequences...
It might not seem like such a big deal but these countries are not supported by PSN and players cannot create an account without breaking TOS.
There are concerns about data security and privacy, of handing your information over to yet another big company which is causing the backlash, and is Sony's first big blunder when attempting to court the PC market. Developer Arrowhead studios has apologized and it seems to be coming from Sony rather than required by the studio.
I don't think they are backtracking on it at this stage so it super sucks for players in those countries, and just goes to show that corporations are not your friends, please my goodness, don't harass anyone over this, just vote with your wallet to make yourself heard (like not buying any Sony games on PC in the future if it requires a PSN account and you are against it on principle)
